The Z Motor Brake

Do you have a belted Z axis but don’t have room or the desire to do a gear reduction system to keep it from falling on power off? With this board turn your motors into a brake, no need for firmware changes just plug inline to your motor and to a 24v power source and you are ready to go. You can wire directly to your 24v power supply to watch for voltage drop or use an IO port on your board to be in complete control of it.

Requirements

• 24v power

• Wire crimper that will work with Molex SL (standard Dupont crimpers work)

• Crimps and plugs to attach the wires to your control board, normally JST or Molex KK (Duet)
